Green Cave on island Ravnik near Vis is a beautiful place to swim and enjoy in a light that turns green when it enters the cave trough a small hole.


On a south side of the island Vis is situated small island Ravnik. On it's southwest side is Green Cave. Through a crack in the ceiling of the cave sun rays are reflecting with a greenish color and creating captivating light effects. The name "green" comes from the greenish glow of the sea which is the result of multitude of green algae located at the bottom of the cave's entrances. The Green Cave has two large entrances so smaller boats can enter easily. Swimming is allowed. Green Cave is wonderful work of nature and therefore is particularly attractive diving location.
